Ashley must be a romantic because some of her favorite movies are Charlie, 27 dresses, A Walk to Remember, and Disney movies.

Ashley is by far my very favorite daughter!! For a long time both she and I wished for another girl to join our family but now we are perfectly content to be the only girls! Although I can hardly stand the thought of her leaving home and going off to college, I couldn’t be more proud of the young woman she has become and I'm so excited to see her continue to learn, grow, and fulfill all her goals! She  graduated from Seven Lakes High School on June 5th and she will spend the summer life guarding at our neighborhood pools before she heads off to BYU-Provo in the fall. Ashley plans on joining the nursing program there. She has always been very studious and done well in school and I am confident that she will be successful there as well. I am also very grateful there is so much family close by to take good care of her while she is away from us.

Ashley likes to spend time with her family and friends just hanging out. She also loves to be outdoors. She loves hiking, biking, swimming and running. She has been on the cross-country and track team since 9th grade and she told me the other day that she will run the rest of her life- she just needs to run!

Ashley loves to read! She practically devours any reading material in sight and she reads very fast. She likes to tell people she taught herself to read when she was five- which she did but I think I should get some credit because from the time she was a baby I read to her everyday. Some days for hours on end because she would just keep bringing me books and begging for me to read to her. I believe she has a photographic memory because she seems to retain everything she reads- which has earned her the title of genius in our house. If you have a question- just ask Ashley because she usually knows the answer! She is amazing!

Ashley is a good friend and has a tender heart. She always tries to do what’s right and she has been a very good teenager. I am hoping her brothers follow her excellent example. I love you so much Ashley and I feel so blessed to have you as my daughter!

Ashley has reached another milestone in her life! Ashley graduated from Seven Lakes High School on June 5th, 2010. We are certainly proud of Ashley’s academic success! The following picture of Ashley in her graduation garb requires some explanation:

• The White “collar” represents participation in and completion of the National Honor Society requirements
• The gold braded rope & tassels represent graduating with high honors (a step above the honor role-having a GPA over 4.0)

Ashley plans to continue working as a life guard in Katy until August, when she will attend BYU-Provo with plans to enter the nursing program.
