Kathryn Jayde Townsend

Kathryne Jayde Townsend was born October 29, 2008. Just days later, she was placed with an amazing mom and dad. They swept her away to California and she's living a fairytale life. Just minutes away from Disneyland, she gets to go on Smallword and the Merry-go-round whenever she feels it's needed. She loves dancing to the music and taking in everything in the world. She loves animals, especially her grandparents 125 lbs black dog. Water is probably her next favorite thing. Getting her out of the bath is almost a bigger chore than actually giving her a bath. Her dad, Cort is looking forward to teaching her how to surf when she gets old enough (with a life jacket, of course). Every morning she points to her rainbow tutu, pink Converse, and red balloon. Food and hide n' seek are also on her top priorities. She's got all the sass a year and a half year old can have, but she's very affectionate and loves hugs and kisses.
Placing Kate has been the biggest blessing for me, as her birth mom. An even bigger blessing is the fact I can still be a part of her life. I love the updates and pictures I have the chance to receive. Her mom, Kim, is the best mom I could have placed her with, and I'm so grateful Cort loves his little princess. Adoption can make or break people, and in this situation everybody has come out on top. Everybody involved has been blessed in so many ways since placement. I want to thank the entire Ward family for being supportive during the entire pregnancy and afterwards. KateJessica Glenn has been happily dating Scott Summers for almost a year. They live in Sugar House in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jessica works at the American Laser Center in Draper, Utah. Scott is from the Salt Lake area and he enjoys working out. Scott has two kids who spend the weekends with them. Karli is 6 and Walker is 3. Karli loves gymnastics and riding her pink camouflage four-wheeler. Walker is a typical 3 year old, except that he can already ride his bike without training wheels! Together they all enjoying playing with their cousins and spending time with their families. Over the Christmas Holidays they were able to see Jessica’s baby, Kate. Kate is now 15 months old, walking, and recently had her molars come in. Jessica and Scott enjoy watching football and hockey games, snowboarding, camping, fishing, and hiking together.
Jessi and I grew up together; taking baths and playing make believe with her are some of my earliest memories. While we no longer scare each other with ghost stories, she still remains a close friend to me. Even when our conversations are few and far between, I know I can count on her. She is one of those dependable people in this world that I know would be there for me if I needed her.

New Job for Jessi
The purpose of this blog is to get to know each other a little better and to keep updated on what is going on in our lives. So that when we do get the chance to talk to one another, it's not "Where do you live? Where do you work?" On that note.....
Congratulations to Jessi on getting a new job! She has been searching for awhile and finally found one at the American Laser Center as a Master Esthetician and so far is loving it. The work, the environment, everything seems to be a great fit. We wish you the best on your new job!
