Kevin Jacob Thorn was born July 2, 1982 in California but moved to Humble Texas when he was 2-3 years old. Until he left for school/mission, he had only lived in 2 homes.
When he was 7, he was diagnosed with WPW which is a heart defect. At the time he had was the first to have an experimental surgery that is now very common. He has no side effects from the defect now.
When he was in HS he was a track star and had Olympic timing until he had to give it up due to a back injury.
He was/is an avid animal lover, he has owned tropical fish, a ferret, lizards, cats, a parrot and DOGS!! Kevin and Mandi own 2 dogs right now, Ollie their boxer and Radar who is a work dog for their company, but very HIGH maintenance.
After graduation, Kevin went on a mission to Goiania Brazil from 01-03. He loved his mission experience and the people. Kevin and Mandi were able to return there for a 1 year anniversary trip, they had a wonderful time.
After his mission, Kevin returned to BYU to study Marriage Family Human Development where he met Amanda in January 2006. He also worked for TNT during the summer time, putting in 18 hour days, 6-7 days a week. Kevin was the first guy that Mandi ever felt was worthy to bring "home" to meet us, we have been thrilled with her choice too!! They were married Aug. 24, 2006.
They purchased a business from Kevin's uncle called "Spider Spray" in the fall of 2007 which does pest control and lawn care. Kev works very hard to be at the top of his field learning all the new products and techniques. Last fall, they purchased Radar who is a bedbug detection dog, he is one of the first ones in the west so this has kept Kevin RUNNING 18 hours a day most days.
Kevin and Mandi bought and moved into a home in Alpine almost 2 years ago, we are so grateful that they only 7 minutes from our home.
Kevin also loves snowboarding, snowmobiling, and most outdoor activities, he plays "church basketball" and loves music and movies, his favorites are Tim Burton movies.
Things I love about Kevin:

He is a VERY hard worker.
He is honest and has a lot of integrity.
He is very spiritual.
He is fun, and loves to play with the kids
He is a wonderful example and "big" brother to my boys, they love him like a brother!
He is a very loving wonderful father.
He gave Jack the cutes grin ever!
