Jared is the most pleasant easy going friendly teenager around. He is courteous and kind and very enjoyable. We need more teenagers like him!! Jared has been doing service and learning and camping etc in the Boy Scout program for years and is finishing up his Eagle project, building benches in a park. Way to go!
He juggles sports and school and band and friends and does a great job at all of them. Jared is currently wrestling for the 3rd year as a junior at his High School, in the 135 pound weight class. Expectations are high for another great season. If he wasn't wrestling so much he would be at the mountains skiing! He also plays his saxophone in the Spirit Band which performs at high school games during half time. Jared also likes longboarding and wakeboarding. Pretty sure he has set some record for early and late season wakeboarding in cold, icy Washington lakes! The latest he has been out on the lake is September and the earliest is April. That's cold here!
Jared has lots of animals in his life, between his two homes he has lots of dogs, cats, kittens, horses and cows. Maybe that is what has sparked an interest in MAYBE attending WSU and vet school. Time will tell....
One of Jared's favorite memories from a Ward Family reunion is watching Quinton catch a gopher with Jared's fishing pole. All the cousins were entertained by that for hours!
Jared does well at school even though he told me he doesn't do much reading! His favorite movies are comedies and his favorite time of year is summer (there's that wakeboarding again). He doesn't lay claim to a girlfriend right now, but they certainly flock around him!
