Ward Family Sibling Reunion March 2011

During the anniversary week of Dad/Grandpa/Ezra's passing and also close to Mom/Grandma/Pat's birthday, we had a fitting celebration by spending a wonderful week together as family, just like Mom & Dad/Grandma & Grandpaalways exemplified to us. Being together and having fun together is just the best. Grandpa is pleased with us! 18 family members, having a great time.

Thanks to Mom/Grandma's generosity and Kirk's superb organizing, we were able to enjoy a week cruise in the Western Caribbean.

We all arrived in Miami Saturday, March 18 on various flights and gathered at a hotel in Boca Raton. Sunday we attended a beautiful sacrament meeting with interesting diverse people. Then we headed to our cruise ship, the Carnival Valor. We were on the 9th deck, all together, with beautiful rooms with
balconies.

Sunday we set sail figuratively. We were at sea Monday. Tuesday we arrived in Grand Cayman, where we went snorkeling with sting rays. We also went to the beach and shopping. Wednesday we arrived at Isla Roatan of Honduras, where went ziplining and to the beach. Thursday we visited Belize, where we all went on an awesome boat ride up a river to visit Mayan Ruins. Friday we docked in Cozumel, where shopping, snorkeling, and nice beaches awaited us. Saturday we were at sea again and we arrived back in Miami Sunday morning. The week went by so fast.

What a great family we have, where 18 of us could spend the whole week together and never have an argument or a family problem, but just enjoy each other.

Favorite dessert Chocolate Melting Cake
picture and recipe from Carnival
  • .8 ounces of semisweet chocolate
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter
  • 7 eggs, divided use
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of flour
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Melt the chocolate and butter and cool for 10 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix four eggs with sugar. Whisk. Then add flour and whisk. Add the remaining three eggs and add the egg mixture to the chocolate mixture. Pour this entire mixture into individual ramekins. Bake until just done, about 1520 minutes (interior will be melting). Serve with vanilla ice cream.

If this seems like hard work to you, then there is also a suitable alternative: book a Carnival cruise and
enjoy as many of these beauties as you can during your cruise. Contact your local travel agent for more
information.
